Brad Alderton
Brad Alderton is a professional firefighter based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Originally from northern New Jersey, he grew up in a community deeply impacted by the events of September 11, 2001. That experience instilled in him a lasting sense of duty, respect, and commitment to public service. Inspired by the courage shown on that day, Brad chose a career where he could serve others and make a difference. Over the years, he has become a respected leader in his department and community. As a founding member of the West Palm Beach 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, Brad is passionate about preserving the memory of those lost—first responders, civilians, and service members who have died since in the War on Terror. His work reflects a strong dedication to honoring sacrifice, strengthening community ties, and ensuring that the legacy of 9/11 lives on.
Patryk Mierzejewski
Patryk Mierzejewski is a dedicated firefighter based in West Palm Beach, Florida. Born in Poland and raised in New York City, the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center were a constant presence and source of inspiration in his youth. The tragic events of 9/11 left a deep and lasting impact on him. The heroic stories and tragic sacrifices ignited a passion to serve and protect others through a career in fire service. For the past 12 years, Patryk has proudly served his local community. His commitment extends beyond emergency response—he currently serves as the Legislative Vice President of the West Palm Beach Firefighters Association, where he advocates for public safety at the local, state, and federal levels. As a founding member of the West Palm Beach 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, his work is fueled by a deep sense of purpose and an unwavering dedication to supporting first responders, their families and the communities they protect.

How We Started
WPB 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb started as a heartfelt grassroots initiative dedicated to honoring our fallen heroes from 9/11. Today, our focus extends beyond the firefighters to all individuals who lost their lives due to the tragic events of that day. We are committed to giving back to the community while supporting vital organizations like POST and Operation 300. Together, we can continue to honor their legacy, promote healing, and provide assistance to those carrying the burden of the past. Contribute with us and make a difference in our community.
